This Jaguar MkV Convertible (1950) Diecast Model Car is Silver and has working wheels and also comes in a display case. It is made by Oxford Diecast and is 1:43 scale (approx. 11cm / 4.3in long). The Jaguar Mark V with its sweeping lines was produced by Jaguar Cars between 1948 and 1951. In real life the executive car came as a saloon or a drophead coupe and for its launch - we have chosen the latter. During it three year lifetime - just under 10 -500 were made and it was succeeded by the Mark VII. With a four speed manual gearbox - the Mk V had a top speed of 90.7 mph and with fuel consumption of just over 18 miles per gallon - it was a thirsty car! In its day - you could buy one of these executive motors for 1263 on the road. These days - you would have to pay upwards of 50 -000 to get behind the wheel!
For its model debut - we've chosen a sparkling silver colour scheme with contrasting pale grey seating and a black roof/hood - which is folded down. With the interior exposed - the intricately detailed dashboard dials are a particular feature on this model. Registered BVV 947 - other refinements include silver and black running boards - chrome bumpers and silver wheels.

Diecast models are manufactured to various scales based on measurements taken from the actual vehicles. The rule to remember is the higher the scale number, the smaller the model!

So, 1:2 scale quite ltierally means it is 1/2 (half) the size and 1:4 scale means it is 1/4 (quarter) the size.  Here is a rough guide to the size of our models although this will vary depending on the size of the actual vehicle. Please note that the scale and size of models differs per department. Please refer to the individual product page to find out the estimated size of the actual model you would like to purchase.
