This McLaren MCL60 was driven by Oscar Piastri as he claimed his first Formula 1 pole position and first sprint race win at the 2023 Qatar GP. The young Austalian put in a lap time just under a tenth of a second quicker than his team mate Lando Norris to claim pole - With Max Verstappen losing a time due to track limits. When it came to the sprint race - Piastri lost the lead to Russell early on but managed to fight back to re-claim the lead and take his first sprint victory - in front of Max Verstappen - whose second place finish saw him crowned three time world champion.
