This Wolf WR1 was driven by Jody Scheckter as he won the 1977 Monaco GP. Scheckter qualified in second and decided to disregard the newly imposed rule to not over-take between the starting grid and the Saint Devote first corner - which was set for safety reasons. Scheckter had flown by pole-sitter John Watson off the line and had his work cut out keeping the Brit off of his back. As the laps ticked by Lauda had been making steady progress in third from his sixth place start. As Watson was still on the hunt for Scheckter's leading position - Watson gearbox locked up and his Brabham spun as he entered Saint Devote - allowing Scheckter to finally relax with Lauda a significant way down the road. Lauda was pushing hard for the rest of the race with Scheckter easing off - meaning the Ferrari man finished just a second behind Jody Scheckter has he took the win. This model is beautifully detailed and comes in a display case attached to a premium display base.
